Kowloon is a station on the Tung Chung Line and the Airport Express of Hong Kong's MTR. Only about 10,000 passengers use this station daily due to its inconvenient location west of the heart of Kowloon, making it one of the least used stations in the MTR system.
This station provides an in-town check-in service for flights departing Hong Kong International Airport and free shuttle bus services to most major hotels in the Tsim Sha Tsui and Yau Ma Tei areas. The station is located less than a kilometre west of Jordan Station on the Tsuen Wan Line.
People can access the shopping mall Elements directly by using the escalators linking the station concourse and the mall.

Platform 2 is only used to allow travellers coming from the Hong Kong International Airport to alight except when you buy a Morning Express Ticket to Hong Kong and use Platform 2 on Mondays to Saturdays.
There are 6 exits in Kowloon Station. They are exits A, B, C1, C2, D1 and D2. Exit D1 and D2 is to the apartment buildings Sorrento, The Waterfront, The Arch and The Harbourside. Disabled access is available at Exit B.
The following bus routes terminate at the Kowloon Railway Station Bus Terminus. To reach the terminus, one must use the exits to the Elements and follow the signs in the mall. Since the opening of the Elements, the route from Exit A is reserved for the car park only.

Kowloon Station is located in proximity to the Kowloon toll plaza of the Western Harbour Tunnel. There, you can find bus stops with routes that go towards different parts of Kowloon and the New Territories. The bus stop can be reached through Exit D2 and then by walking across a footbridge above the toll plaza. Commuters can also get onto the buses that lead to Hong Kong Island.
Several minibus routes terminate at the Kowloon Railway Station Terminus, which is same as the bus routes.

In construction stages of this station, the station was named West Kowloon Station (Chinese: 西九龍站).
As this station was proposed as the terminus of the unbuilt East Kowloon Line, there is a reserved confined space under the Tung Chung Line platform. The space is not used due to the alignment was changed and the Kowloon Point (to the south-east of the station) Reclamation Scheme was shelved.
Apart from this station, people can also walk to Austin Station to take the West Rail Line trains. In the future, when the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link completes, passengers can walk to the West Kowloon Terminus, the terminus of the rail link, to take the rail link.
